Turkish club Galatasaray has reached an agreement with Napoli to secure Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan. The deal comes after Osimhen’s highly publicized fallout with Napoli following a failed transfer to both Saudi Arabia and Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
Renowned football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with all parties working towards finalizing the move. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the news, noting that the deal does not include an option for Galatasaray to sign Osimhen permanently after the loan period.
According to Romano, Galatasaray has agreed to cover €9-10 million of Osimhen’s salary until the end of the season. The agreement, which Napoli has accepted, is set to be finalized soon, with Galatasaray’s delegation scheduled to meet Osimhen in Naples in the coming hours to secure his approval.
With the transfer windows closed in the top five European leagues, Turkey remains one of the few markets open for last-minute deals. Galatasaray appears determined to take advantage of this window to strengthen their squad with the acquisition of the talented Nigerian forward.
Napoli’s decision to exclude Osimhen from their squad has intensified speculation about his future, with the club seemingly intent on resolving the situation before reintegrating him into the team.
