Madueke Hails Cole Palmer After Hat-Trick in Chelsea’s 6-2 Victory Over Wolves

Chelsea’s Noni Madueke celebrated his hat-trick in a commanding 6-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, giving special praise to teammate Cole Palmer, who provided the assists for all three of his goals. Palmer, known for his “Cold” celebration, was instrumental in Chelsea’s dominant Premier League performance at Stamford Bridge.

Madueke, who caused a stir earlier in the week by describing Wolverhampton as “s***” in an Instagram post—later apologizing for the comment—took the spotlight on the pitch by scoring all three of his goals in the second half. Palmer’s precise passes set up each of Madueke’s strikes, showcasing a seamless partnership between the two players.

Speaking to Premier League Productions after the match, Madueke referenced Palmer’s “Cold” nickname while praising his teammate’s playmaking abilities. “He is cold and I am fire, so it mixes well,” Madueke said. “He’s always got the ability to play the right pass at the right time, so it’s brilliant.”

Reflecting on the match, Madueke shared his thoughts on the team’s performance and his personal achievement. “Today means a lot. Really just being clever and waiting for the right moment. The system allows us to probe and probe and keep possession high up [the pitch]. Maybe in the first half it was a bit more end-to-end, but we gained control in the second half.”

Describing his goals, Madueke added, “The first [goal] was a bit lucky; the second one was just Cole Palmer—two brilliant, weighted passes that I just had to step onto and score. I’m made up for the hat-trick but even more pleased that we won the game.”

Madueke also spoke about Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, who joined the club after leading Leicester City to Premier League promotion last season. “I think it’s obvious. Everyone saw what he did at Leicester last year. He’s mad about his approach, about the little details.”

With Madueke and Palmer in top form, Chelsea’s victory marks a significant boost as they continue their Premier League campaign under Maresca’s leadership.
